DISKWEIGHT 0.4.0

A first look.
With clear limits.

This is a development preview for macOS 14 or later, built for Apple Silicon and Intel. Public Developer ID signing, notarization and broader compatibility validation are still in progress.

Explore first

Start with a test folder and keep backups. Scanning reads metadata. Large-disk scans are cancelable and report incomplete coverage. Estimated allocation can differ from recovered space because of APFS shared blocks, snapshots and concurrent changes.

Two cleanup routes

Manual selections use a reviewed system-Trash workflow. Recommended Cleanup offers three cumulative levels, a review with no files preselected, an acknowledgment and a typed DELETE confirmation. That route bypasses Trash and cannot be undone. Only individually selected eligible regular local files are removed; folders are not recursively deleted.

What is next

Verified duplicates, incremental and live rescans, and custom exclusions are planned. They are not available in this preview. Checkout is not open. Pack prices are planned launch prices; final licensing and major-version update terms will be available before purchase.
